Poverty alleviation and self sustainability

Organic farming is emerging as a sustainable alternative in reviving Indian Agriculture especially in areas where the indiscriminate usage of chemical fertilizers and pesticides had resulted in loss in soil fertility and productivity with adverse effects on water quality, soil, plant and human health.

How will this project solve trafficking?
By providing skills & business training to Trafficking servivors and girls at risk in beekeeping/Mushroom cultivation will help them support themselves & their families – and by selling honey produced while teaching, the SHGs of girls can be able to fund scholarships to assist the most needy.

Potential Long Term Impact
Not only will this program help to reduce long-term poverty amongst girls’ families by teaching them useful skills for earning a living, but by demonstrating the rewards of education it will encourage parents to keep their children in school.
