Mission

Empower People's mission is to eradicate human trafficking and honor crimes by providing comprehensive support to survivors and those at risk. We aim to empower vulnerable communities through education, legal aid, advocacy, and sustainable livelihood programs. Our efforts are directed towards creating a society where every individual can live with dignity and freedom, free from exploitation and abuse.

Vision

Empower People envisions a world where every person, regardless of gender or socio-economic background, has the opportunity to lead a safe, healthy, and productive life. We strive to build resilient communities that are aware, vigilant, and proactive in the fight against human trafficking and honor crimes, ensuring that survivors are reintegrated into society with the respect and support they deserve.

Early 2000s: Launched as Career Development Center (CDC) to educate youth.

2012: Conducted 4400 km March Against Bride Trafficking (MABT) in Assam and West Bengal, forming 500 community groups.

2019: Organized 110 km ‘Paidal’ March for Forest & Land Rights with 10,000 tribal participants, establishing an expert advisory group.

2006: Became EMPOWER PEOPLE, registered under Society Registration Act 1860. Led 300 km PadaYatra against female foeticide.

2018: Undertook 14,000 km MABT across 10 states, identifying 1000 cases and facilitating 127 rehabilitations.
