Date- 15th August 2021

It was a red letter day in the history of India when the country got her freedom

on August 15, 1947. It took hundreds of years for us to break shackles of slavery.

People of the country celebrate this festival every year with great pomp and show.

On this auspicious occasion, the team of EMPOWER PEOPLE celebrated the day

with much fanfare. People in Haryana commemorated Independence Day by holding

Following that, the children, men, and women of the village began the kite flying competition and had a good time.

Little children gave their own flavor by dancing to music, singing, and performing acts.

Sweets were handed out, and posters of our national flag were hung on the walls to commemorate Independence Day in Panipat.

Dildar Hussain, district coordinator of Yamuna Nagar, planned a ceremony to commemorate Independence Day in Baghpat with his fellow team members on August 15, 2021. He organised and distributed candies and chocolates as a gesture of celebration to share the joy of the occasion.

The children were holding national flags and saying “Vande Mataram”, and they were also clutching balloons, which radiated excitement across the community.

The chief guest was a soldier of the villages of Main Gaon. At 8 a.m., people began to arrive, and the program started. The soldier raised the flag, and they all sang the national anthem. People were clapping and saluting the flag to show their appreciation for our national banner.

Dildar Hussain also gave his thoughts on why we needed independence. Sweets were distributed among the attendees.

Every year, we commemorated Independence Day in order to remember our fighters' sacrifices and to show them the respect they deserve. Independence Day is significant as it commemorates the valour and spirit of the freedom fighters who fought for the independence of the nation from British rule.

Due to the selfless sacrifice of the people, we are living in a free country.

As a result, empower people is doing everything they can to live up to the spirit of our heroes who gave their life for our security.

Vinod Kumar, District Coordinator, Kurukshetra organised an Independence Day celebration. This was organised in Kurukshetra's People Health Care Resource Centre. Villagers joined in the celebration, sweets were distributed, and programs were held. Prices were also provided to the children in order to increase their self-esteem.

Empowering individuals is doing an excellent job of keeping alive the spirit of our responsibility to our country.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION, KARNAL

Raj Bala, Karnal's district coordinator, organised an event for Independence Day, which began at 8 a.m. Isam Singh, the leader of Jambha Gaon in Karnal, was the chief guest. Our team adorned the area with little flags, tri-colored balloons, and other items. Children were so enthusiastic about the program that we noticed a new level of excitement in them. People began planning ahead of time, they cheerfully volunteered their time, and they were overjoyed.

Our chief guest spoke about Independence Day and why we should celebrate it. As Karnal's coordinator, I too had the opportunity to express my thoughts on Independence Day. Following that, numerous women stood up and offered their thoughts as well. People were so thrilled that they clapped and showed their appreciation.

Children also participated in a variety of activities such as practising dance performances of "Desh Rangila," "Mere Pyaare Vatan," "Teri Mitti Mei maar java," and others. They created their own poetry and shared them with us . Other villages came to observe our team program and had a great time; they took pictures and shared them with everyone. As a sign of appreciation, we offered our future children small presents such as books, copies, pencils, and so on.

The primary reason for carrying out this program on the Chaupal was to communicate the notion of love for our mother earth, much like everybody we love our nation, because the love for our country makes troops and leaders sacrifice the precious lives of our people. Freedom means different things for different people, and for a soldier or her family, freedom could simply mean getting together as a family and heading out for a day of fun and thrill, leaving the toughness of the defense life behind.

In order to express solidarity to the nation, every citizen of this country needs to commemorate Independence Day. Their respect for the liberation fighters who gave their lives for independence will also be shown. Independence Day also urges young people to serve the country. EMPOWER PEOPLE is empowering others and helping them to grasp the true meaning of independence by remembering the sacrifice our jawans make.
